Odyssey is pleased to announce the integration of Scolae Mundi schools into its network, bringing the number of its French schools abroad to 14 on 3 continents (Europe, Asia, Africa). This merger is in line with Odyssey’s strong growth strategy, which will continue in 2021 and 2022.
Scolae Mundi was founded in 2010 by Jean-François Le Roch bringing together 7 French schools in Central and Eastern Europe (Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Russia and Ukraine). It is one of the key players in the French educational network within the French educational network abroad and benefits in this respect from a solid institutional and pedagogical recognition.
Odyssey and Scolae Mundi share the same educational values and the same vision within the French education network abroad : to offer a French and international education that places the student at the heart of learning and is part of an academic excellence, multilingual and open to the world. Odyssey will have a long-term vision that will strengthen each of Scolae Mundi’s schools within a group where humanism, high standards, cooperation and innovation are at the heart of our commitment.
Luc CHATEL, President of Odyssey :
« We are very proud to welcome the Scolae Mundi establishments. In a strategic area for French education abroad, the Scoale Mundi carry a high quality educational project, based on French educational excellence, plurilingualism and benevolence. By joining forces and creating new synergies, we will offer our schools the opportunity to project themselves into the future with the guarantee of offering the best to our students and their families. This integration is also an important step for Odyssey in its ambition to become a French and international educational leader, recognized for its dynamism and academic excellence. »
Jean-François LE ROCH, President of Scolae Mundi :
« I am pleased to open this new page in the history of our institutions. It is excellent news for our students, their families and our teams who will benefit from the advantages of an international educational network : cooperation with establishments around the world, twinning, mobility programs, sharing of best pedagogical practices, scientific projects, sports or cultural projects etc. I am now a member of the Odyssey team and I am enthusiastically pursuing my commitment to the development of our institutions. More than ever, I am convinced that our common project will represent, alongside the public operator, a decisive contribution to the development of French education abroad. »
